Job Description

Role Objective:

Lead the solutioning, costing, and standardization of mechanical and electrical automation systems. Own the pre-sales engineering process, ensure cost-effective and scalable solutions, and maintain alignment with vendors, internal stakeholders, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end solutioning for customer requirements across mechanical and electrical domains.
  • Review and approve layouts, BOQs, and costing from junior engineers.
  • Standardize sub-systems and modules for conveyor lines, control panels, lift systems, and automation kits.
  • Drive cost optimization by balancing performance, vendor options, and local sourcing.
  • Directly interact with OEMs in China for new product options, tech compatibility, and volume pricing.
  • Oversee product master creation and BOM updates in ERP, ensuring traceability and configuration control.
  • Act as bridge between sales, engineering, and purchase functions.
  • Prepare and deliver solution presentations to internal teams and customers when required.
  • Guide juniors in technical accuracy, documentation, and coordination.

Requirements:

  • E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics.
  • 6–10 years of experience in pre-sales, solutioning, or system design in automation or capital equipment.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and EPLAN.
  • Strong techno-commercial judgment with experience in vendor coordination and cost control.
  • Familiar with warehouse automation hardware: conveyors, AMRs, sorters, scanners, PLCs, control panels.
  • Comfortable managing ERP BOM structures and item masters.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and mentoring skills.
