Role Objective:

Support mechanical solutioning, costing, and documentation of NIDO’s automation systems – including conveyors, lifts, structures, and material flow systems. Ensure standardized designs, BOMs, and ERP accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret customer requirements and convert them into conceptual 2D/3D layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Design mechanical solutions for automation systems including conveyors, sorters, lifts, racking, and workstations.
• Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and cost estimates.
• Standardize designs and create templates/modules for repeat projects.
• Interact with China-based OEMs for component selection and specification alignment.
• Coordinate with Purchase for vendor specs, lead times, and alternate sourcing.
• Ensure all mechanical parts and assemblies are correctly updated in ERP (item codes, BOM, costing).
• Support senior solutioning engineer in responding to RFPs and customer queries.

You Should Have:

• 2–4 years of mechanical design or pre-sales experience in automation or capital equipment.
• Strong AutoCAD & SolidWorks skills.
• Good understanding of conveyor systems, mechanical assemblies, and costing.
• Exposure to ERP workflows (item/BOM entry).
• Willingness to coordinate across internal teams and external vendors.
