Job Description – General Manager Production

• Strategic Leadership: Establish planning for job shop environment, decide in-house or outsource based on capacity calculation. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency in the machine shop.
• Production Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and timely delivery of products
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of machinists, technicians, and supervisors to foster a high-performance culture.
• Process Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce waste
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency
• Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support uninterrupted production
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with departments such as engineering, sales, and procurement to align operational goals.
• Factory Administration and Industrial relations Management:  Sharp executer to  Establish and Maintain statutory compliance and related stakeholders for smooth execution of daily operations
• Supply Chain Execution: Develop Suppliers for outsourcing, Maintain Supplier collaboration in a very dynamic fast pacing environment Role & responsibilities

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years in a managerial role within a machine shop and/or related manufacturing environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of machining processes including Lazer Cutting, bending, Welding, CNC operations, and equipment maintenance
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive organizational change.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Skilled in identifying operational issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
• Software Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
